Information in English
The National Working Group on Youth Dialogue & Youth Participation, NAG for short, has been working for many years (originally under the name ARGE Partizipation) and on behalf of the Conference of Provincial Youth Departments to promote quality child and youth participation. The EU Youth Dialogue is one of the NAG’s ongoing focal points. Click here for more information (in German) on the EU Youth Dialogue in Austria.
Vision
We strengthen social cohesion based on the right to participation and a culture of co-creation. This attitude, diversity and expertise as well as the required conditions and resources enable opportunities for young people.
Mission
We see ourselves as an interface and forum for dialogue. In order to promote quality child and youth participation, we coordinate activities and foster networking to share resources and information.
In the interests of young people, we provide impetus and quality standards, offer further training opportunities and influence conditions for participation.
We stimulate development processes and promote dialogue between politicians and young people as well as experts, public administration and decision-makers at all levels.
Principles for child and youth participation
The principles for effective child and youth participation show which aspects need to be taken into account. They are listed in alphabetical order and do not represent a prioritisation. The specific implementation must be individually adapted, formulated and designed for each participation format, whereby the aim should be to implement the principles as comprehensively as possible.
